This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice little corner Thai eatery. It’s small but cute and has really good food. We were seated right away for a party of 3. We all enjoyed all the dishes.

Tasty food. Good presentation and small cozy place. Staff was accommodating. We had a party of 5. We waited a bit to be seated because it’s a small place. Food came hot. Their chive pancake was good. Their spicy fried rice was spicy, but good. I’ve been twice and I’ll keep coming back. A bit busy at times, but easy to get a seat if you’re a small table.

I absolutely loved this place. The interior holds no more than 18 at max and I’m honestly surprised that it wasn’t more crowded given the ambience and the quality of food. It’s like a little oasis in the middle of 9th Ave and everything food wise just feels a little nicer than you’d expect - the presentation and the menu itself are brightly colored and the flavors of what we ordered (clams with roti, whole fish, curry duck) were absolutely outstanding. If you’re walking by and you stop and peer in and look at the menu and think β€œhey, this place looks great, I should go” - you would be correct. You should come eat here.

Hells Kitchen is FULL of thai food spots. When browsing, I picked this one off of great reviews and the food turned out delicious! Unfortunately, the dine-in experience is not all that great. I came in a group of three and we all ordered different noodle dishes and that came out at different times spanning 20 minutes. Comparatively, the portion sizes are smaller than other spots and the protein serving is extremely limited. The food is overall really tasty and compares well to the flavors I had in Thailand, I just would opt to order take out.

I just ordered takeout because a customer leaving send it was good on his way out. I usually eat at Wondee Siam, Pure Thai Cookhouse or Chalong but figured since we have the largest amount of thai restaurants in a neighborhood, I’d give this one a try. What a huge disappointment! Are you ready? Poor quality mushy rice, greasy yellow curry, half cooked potatoes and tough dry pork. Seriously, you can’t make this up. Not one redeeming point. Even the lady taking orders looked like she was already over the day. Mind you- it was lunch time. So many Thai restaurants in the area and most of them are not good-( take my advice and go to the ones I recommended so you won’t be angry after-)
